Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

The Artist Times ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of the artists, fans and visitors who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to theartisttimes.com and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly and information gathered automatically as you use the platform:

  • Account details — name, email address, password and role (artist, fan or administrator).
  • Profile content — artist bio, stage name, photos, genres, links, music, videos and events you choose to publish.
  • Messages — booking inquiries, contact form submissions and comments.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location, collected via cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve the platform, including to:

  • Create, host and display your public artist profile and content.
  • Connect artists with fans, promoters and brands, and route booking inquiries.
  • Personalise discovery, recommendations and search results.
  • Send service updates, and — where you opt in — newsletters and event alerts.
  • Protect the platform against fraud, abuse and security threats.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Published profile content is, by its nature, public. We share limited information only with trusted service providers who help us run the platform (such as hosting, analytics and email delivery), when required by law, or with your consent — for example when you send a booking inquiry to an artist's management.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure, and analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational safeguards — including encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to keep your information safe.

6. Your Rights

In line with applicable data-protection laws, you may access, correct, update or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. You can edit or unpublish your profile at any time from your dashboard, or contact us to exercise any of these rights.

7. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data except where we must retain it for legal, security or accounting reasons.

8. Children's Privacy

The platform is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Artists under 18 should use the platform with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you through the platform or by email.
